World Archery America's Gender Equity Committee wishes all participants in the upcoming Pan American Games 2023 all the best.
President of World Archery Americas Ms. Maria Emma Gavira met with Chair of WAA Gender Equity Committee Mrs. Vidushi Persaud-McKinnon and WAA Gender Equity Member Mr. César Otárola in Santiago, Chile. It was expressed that the records will be updated after the Games and it is hoped that the medallists percentage rises.
We have come a far way to ensure gender equality and we are undoubtedly in a better position today than decades before but there is still considerable work and advocacy to be done.
