Archery Guyana’s 2024 Senior Barebow Open Successfully Concluded
Monday, Jan 13Archery Guyana brought the curtains down on the 2024 Senior Barebow Open on Sunday January 12, 2025, at the National Gymnasium and being the first time the Federation streamed the competition live and also utilising the globally recognised IANSEO software for live scoring. This technology ensures immediate updates of results, offering real-time insights for athletes, coaches, and fans alike.
Everyone was treated to thrilling performances as archers vied for top honours, the end of which, the official Results are as follows:

At the Presentation Ceremony, Director of Shooting, Mr. Ryan McKinnon, delivered closing remarks, medals were presented to the winners, and Lancaster caps were given to the Finalists. President Vidushi Persaud-McKinnon also expressed gratitude to the Honourable Minister of Culture, Youth, and Sport, Charles Ramson; Director of Sport, Mr Steve Ninvalle; the National Sports Commission; President Godfrey Munroe and the Executive Committee of the Guyana Olympic Association; Mr Samuel Arjoon of Guyana Beverages Inc., Oasis Water, Ms Vanessa Wickham, the National Sports Clinic and Dr Ariane Mangar from the Ministry of Health, Physiotherapist Stowell Barry and members of the media for their invaluable support.
Next weekend, the Cyril Potter School's Auditorium will come alive with the 2024 Senior RECURVE Open. Saturday 18th January will be the ranking rounds and Sunday 19th January, will be the Eliminations and Finals. All Guyanese Archers are invited to participate.
